She's jumping!

Today, it seemed that Ginger was getting a bit bored with her usual toys that we play with, so I decided to give her a try in one of her jumpers. We actually have 3 jumpers, if you can believe it, though two of them were hand-me-downs, and we plan on passing them along after she grows out of them.

Ginger LOVED the jumper! I didn't think she was old enough to try it out- and thought she wouldn't "get it", but she was jumpin' and pushing on the lights and toys within seconds! She actually started dozing off in the jumper- even though it was nap time she wanted to keep playing. Within seconds of pulling her out of there and up on my shoulder, she was out like a light.

Dad's Night

Ginger is definitely a daddy's girl, there is no doubt! She adores Paul, and lights up whenever he's around. Last night, it was "Dad's night" with Ginger, so I could take a break, and boy did they have fun. Paul played with her, tickled her, bathed her, and rocked her to sleep (I had to step in for the nursing, of course!)

Here are a few cute pics I snapped while they were playing.

This is her favorite spot to sit in with Daddy!

she's not a tiny baby anymore...

it's hard to imagine that Ginger was half her size when she was born. She is growing so quickly, now I get the cliche that all moms told me about before she was born. I do want to keep her small, pint-sized as I call her, but can't wait to see her development and growth at the same time. Funny enough- I don't even remember the pain of pregnancy/childbirth these days! HA!

she's working hard!

this picture is my screensaver right now on my computer- look at my hard worker, trying to gain neck strength. what a cutie...

My little tag-a-long...

Ginger is getting better and better at long stretches of errands with Mommy, and it's so fun to have people oodle over her. Everyone seems to love babies these days, even the girl that cuts our deli meat comes out from behind the counter to see how Ginger is growing each time we visit.

Here's another bow we bought- this one came in a set of 3, pink, white, and purple, and they're a little more scaled to Ginger's head size! I love the last photo, where it appears that Ginger has her hands on her hips- too cute!!

Bitten by the Bow Bug...

I saw Jaime's baby Ryen with the cutest bow on the other day, and it happened. I was bitten by the bow bug. Up until now, I haven't wanted to turn Ginger into a "girly girl", if you remember- we thought we were having a boy so even having a girl was a lot for me to swallow. Probably because I was such a pain in the a$$ for my parents- yes, I admit it Paul!! LOL

Anyhow, I am planning on making a few bows, but I'm not the craftiest girl, so I purchased a few on Ebay in order to copy them with ribbons that I pick out. So, our first one arrived today- check out how cute she looks!

The many faces of Ginger...

Ginger has a particular pose in which she looks absolutely adorable-wide-eyed and perfect little lips. I tend to take the pose a lot- it's fun to see her little features blossom as she grows up. You probably know the pose by now- most of the time, she looks like this:

However, there are many faces to our little baby Ginger, and all of them tend to crack me up! Here are a few different shots which pretty much capture all of her funny little faces. As a side note, Ginger still refuses a "paci, binkie" whatever you want to call it, preferring her fingers instead. I'm fine with that- one less thing to have to try to take away from her later (although I do think there are some precious pics that can be taken with babies with paci's)

Ginger's first dip in the pool...

That's about all it was, a toe dip in the pool. Mommy wasn't thinking and forgot to check the water temp, and we got our swimsuits on and sunscreens lathered only to realize despite 90 degree weather, the pool water was still a bit too cold! Even so, it was a good picture moment and a ton of fun to see her finally in a swimsuit! Our little Ginger will surely be using this pool a TON in the future, so we're not too worried about how the day turned out!

A visit with Grammie and Opa

Grammie and Opa stopped by for a quick visit on their way out to Palm Springs for my Uncle's 80th birthday party. Ginger hasn't seen them in almost a month, as they were in Texas visiting my Grandma, aunt, and my brother and his family. Ginger was SO happy to see them, she smiled and laughed and it was just like "old times" (you know, a month ago, when she was soooooo little!)

I can't help myself...

she is just too adorable not to post these pics. This was after bath time- Ginger looooooooooooooves her baths which makes mommy happy!

Artwork by Ginger and Auntie Shanna

I mentioned in my birthday post that while Paul and I were out to dinner, Ginger's godmother, Shanna, worked on an art project with Ginger. Well, here are a few pics from the night, clearly Ginger loves her godmommy!!
